Styrge Hounds — Who let the hounds out?
Something is stirring beneath Eversael. Several somethings, actually.
Styrge Hounds are young, vicious pack hunters driven into battle by the Fane Knights. Too primitive and fragile for the psychic domination used to control the Fane's greater beasts, they're instead broken to the hunt and unleashed in packs to overwhelm isolated prey with fang, claw and sheer aggression.
Do their eldritch masters particularly care whether they come back? Not really. There are always more lurking beneath Eversael.

Riven — Misery loves company
These tormented spirits have haunted the ruins of Ios for more than a thousand years, trapped between life and death after being broken by the first agonising fractures between the gods and the elves. Now they cling desperately to the living, hoping to follow a departing soul into the afterlife and finally escape their torment.
Naturally, the Fane found a use for that.
Sent drifting towards their enemies, the Riven tether themselves to the living and wait for the death that might finally grant them release. Whether the Fane actually intend to help them find salvation is another question entirely.

Razor Bat Alpha — Keep watching the skies
As if regular Razor Bats weren't unpleasant enough.
For centuries, Fane Stalkers have captured the largest and most vicious of these barbed-wing predators, selectively breeding them into something much, much worse. Driven ahead of the Fane in expendable masses, the Hollowed stumble towards the enemy, clawing and biting at anything they can reach. If they overwhelm their victims, excellent. If they're cut down in droves, that's fine too. While everyone else is dealing with the shambling dead, the Fane have far more important targets to be dealing with.
