Cryx Dread Armada FronTier tiers revealed
It’s time to shine some (suitably eerie) moonlight on the imminent release of Cryx’s seafaring new Prime army, the Dread Armada, launching on FronTiers this Thursday, October 15 and running until Thursday, October 29.
Collection Tier
The ‘everything’ tier, this one’s for savvy collectors looking to maximise their doubloons. It comes with everything included in the FronTier, at a price so good you’ll feel like a proper pirate as you laugh all the way to your 3D printer.
In real terms, that’s:

If you pick all the above sets up separately from the Warmachine 3D store after the FronTier is over, it’ll run you $545 (or $272 with a Tribe subscriber discount).
But if you get the bundle during the FronTier instead, it’ll be just $159 for everything.†
That’s a $386 discount on digital store prices (or a $113.50 discount for Tribe subscribers due to the existing 50% Tribe discount).
The short version? If the Warmachine winds are blowing you toward the Dread Armada, don’t sleep on the Collection tier.
*Naturally, there won’t be a physical box included with the STLs. However, we’re using ‘box’ because it’s how we refer to the equivalent sets in the physical range, and we don’t want to make things confusing by using different terms. Of course, we have now had to write a multi-line disclaimer to explain that decision, so perhaps we should’ve just skipped ‘box’ after all. Ah, well. Live and learn.

Starter Crew Tier
If you’re looking to dip your toe in but not fully submerge, the Starter Crew tier is your best pick. Worth $80, this tier includes:

Not got a 3D printer?
We won’t leave you adrift. For the first time, we’re able to offer a physical option alongside the FronTier!
This won’t run through MyMiniFactory but will instead be available right here on the Warmachine website. It’ll work a lot like a typical army launch, with some key differences:

This production run will have limited quantities and will only be available while the FronTier is live. So, just like the STL campaign, you’ll need to order between October 15 and 29.*

Orders will be locked and sent for production once the FronTier ends, shipping within 4-8 weeks depending on your location

As well as the usual individual army boxes and breakouts, there will be two bundles available to choose from, which will both come with free warjack options and a free set of Dreadtides STLs. More details when these launch for pre-order on Thursday!
Although you won’t find Cryx Dread Armada in regular retail stores, Warstores will be able to order the bundles and sets, so you can order through your local game store if they’re an official Warmachine stockist. Production run quantity limits still apply, so don’t wait.
