AdeptiCon 2026 runs March 25–29 2026 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee. If you’re making the pilgrimage, we’ll be there with a weekend’s worth of Warmachine, Guild Ball, and P3 Paint.

Want to put your miniature painting skills to the test? The P3 Grandmaster painting competition is back for AdeptiCon 2026!
With multiple categories and prizes, this is your chance to show off your skills and maybe even walk away with the title of P3 Grandmaster.

Categories
Each category will have 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze winner, along with one overall Grandmaster Award.
Single model: This covers all single models up to 50mm/warjack size. Models may be on a standard base or display base/plinth. Models will be judged equally between all base/mounting types.
Large model: This covers all single models typically on 80mm+ base sizes (super heavies and colossals/gargantuans). Models will be judged equally between all base/mounting types.
Group/Unit: This covers all multi-model entries: troop units, charter units, caster battlegroups. Models will be judged equally between all base/mounting types.
Duel: A scenic duel/battle between 2 or more models on a thematic display.
How to enter
You have until 2pm Saturday to enter. Judging will take place soon after, with awards to be announced on Sunday morning!
The official bit

All entries must feature Steamforged Games miniatures.

Conversions and scratch-building are welcome — just keep it within the world and spirit of Steamforged.

You can use third-party terrain and accessories (resin bases, scenic elements, etc.), as long as they’re not from another miniatures game.

All entries must be painted by the person entering. You’ll need to hand them in yourself, with ID, and collect them in person.

Entries must be mounted on a base. Display bases are fine.

You can enter up to three separate times.

While we’ll take every care with your models, Steamforged isn’t responsible for any accidental damage.

All entries must be accompanied by a completed form. You’ll get a numbered ticket, which you’ll need to present to collect your entry. Keep it safe!

Any entries not collected by 3pm on Sunday will become property of Steamforged Games.

By entering, you give us permission to photograph your work and possibly feature it in our content.

Steamforged staff and immediate family aren’t eligible to enter.

Judge decisions are final.
