The dead have had a facelift — Cryx Necrofactorium reboxing
The darkness gathers
Even with the light of Menoth burning bright, every flame casts a shadow.
And in those shadows, the Fane of Nyrro continues to gather.
We’re getting closer to the release of Gathering Darkness, the final Army Box in the Fane of Nyrro, giving you the full breadth of eldritch forces needed to muster the Fane in all its terrible glory. But before we get there, let’s take a quick trip back through everything that has emerged from the shadows so far.
Executioner’s Toll — A deadly beginning
Every great eldritch gathering needs someone willing to do the dirty work.
Executioner’s Toll, led by Hysene, is the Fane of Nyrro Command Set and the perfect starting point for building your force. Hysene and her followers bring a deadly mix of close-combat pressure and eldritch tricks to the battlefield, giving you a taste of the sinister playstyle that runs through the Fane.

Death’s Whisper — The spymaster arrives
Once you’ve got your foundations, it’s time to bring in someone who knows exactly where to stick the knife.
Death’s Whisper, led by Ashmael, adds speed, deception, and a healthy dose of skulduggery to the Fane. This elusive force excels at keeping your opponent guessing, striking where they’re least prepared and disappearing back into the shadows before they can respond.
Want to know how Ashmael’s entourage operates? Catch up on the rules preview here.
Court of Shadows — The Court is now in session
The Court has assembled, and Auricant Vorsalys demands your attention.
Court of Shadows brings the ruler of the Fane of Nyrro and his inner circle to the battlefield, adding powerful eldritch leadership and a host of tools for controlling the flow of the game. With Vorsalys at its heart, the Court brings a more calculated approach to the Fane, manipulating the battlefield while its forces steadily close the noose.

Gathering Darkness — Haraseth Hungers
Harasheth has an appetite. And unfortunately for his enemies, it extends far beyond the dinner table.
Gathering Darkness brings the Gorged Darkness and his resilient forces to the battlefield, built around attrition, corruption, and making very good use of anything unfortunate enough to die. Friend or foe, the fallen are simply more fuel for Harasheth’s sorceries.
Missed the reveal? Catch up here.
Nymara, the Shadowblade — Let the bats loose
And then there’s Nymara, the Shadowblade.
This warlock brings a very different flavour to the Fane, commanding powerful warbeasts and embracing the frenzy of the creatures that follow her. Fast, dangerous, and accompanied by what we can only assume is a completely reasonable number of bats.
Catch up on Nymara’s rule preview here and see what happens when the Shadowblade takes command.
The Fane of Nyrro has come a long way, but the darkness is still gathering. And we’ve still got a couple more surprises waiting in the wings…
More Farrow are coming
More Thornfall Alliance is coming to the Warmachine store next Tuesday.
The Thornfall Alliance Command Set has been available for a while, and with much of the Thornfall Alliance making its way into players’ hands through Warmachine 3D, we wanted to make it even easier to get these grisly shamanistic Farrow onto your tabletop.
Next Tuesday, the Thornfall Alliance Core Set will be available to pre-order alongside a selection of breakout units, giving you more ways to build your Farrow forces.
Salvaged technology, questionable engineering, angry pigs. What could possibly go wrong?
Answer the Lawgiver’s call
Get everything you need to muster the full might of the Protectorate of Menoth with the Protectorate of Menoth Army Bundle, from its devoted followers to its holy warjacks. And when you answer the call by ordering the bundle, you’ll also receive a set of the Four Gifts of Menoth cards.
There are five editions to collect and trade, and each features its own exclusive artwork and colour scheme as revealed in yesterday's article. The Classic Edition is available directly from the Warmachine store, while the Fervour and Faithful editions are available through participating game stores. Players in Canada and Australia can also claim their own region-exclusive editions, each with its own unique artwork and colours.

Whichever edition you receive, the message is the same: serve the Lawgiver, embrace the flame, and bring the Covenant to the battlefield.
The Army Bundle is only available until September 29, so don’t keep the Lawgiver waiting.
All hands on deck — The Dread Armada is coming
There’s something stirring beneath the waves.
The Dread Armada is coming to Warmachine 3D FronTier, bringing the dead back to sea and putting the full might of Cryx’s undead fleet in your hands.
Want to be among the first to know when they’re ready to come ashore? Sign up to serve the Dread Armada on Warmachine 3D FronTier and you’ll get notified as soon as the collection becomes available.
Not sure what the Dread Armada has been up to? We’ve got you covered. Catch up with the full Autumn Preview livestream to see the army revealed, meet the forces making up this new Cryxian threat, and find out what happens when the dead take to the high seas.
Grab your coat, batten down the hatches, and whatever you do, don’t let the skeletons near the rum.
The dead have had a facelift
You’ll have seen by now that Cryx has been getting a little… freshening up.
The dead have been given a new look, with a Command Set, three new Army Boxes, and two Warjack breakouts now available to pre-order. And yes, the Warjack options for both the Heavy and Light Warjacks are available too.
So what’s changed?
These new boxes are designed to make getting into Warmachine easier for new players, while also giving existing players forces that are more balanced and cohesive straight out of the box. Each Army Box brings together units that want to work together, meaning you can get your force on the table and start playing without having to figure out how all the pieces fit together first.
