Cryx Necrofactorium Update – Retail Range Reboxing
We are refreshing the Cryx Necrofactorium retail range, replacing the current Command Starter, Battlegroup Box, Core Expansion and Auxiliary Expansion with our new Warmachine army box format to make it easier for players to start and grow a Cryx Necrofactorium army.
The new format
The new army box format was introduced with the current Dusk Fane of Nyrro release. Each of the three new 50-point army boxes contain a complete, playable force. Players can then combine army boxes to quickly and easily expand towards 100-point games, making it clearer and simpler to start and grow an army.
These new army boxes replace the previous Core Expansion and Auxiliary Expansion and add an additional third box.
As part of the range refresh, the Boneyard Keeper 30-point Command set replaces the Command Starter and keeps a lower-priced entry point for players getting to grips with the game.
Individual warjack boxes, containing all available build options, replace the previous Battlegroup Box.
The new Cryx Necrofactorium SKUs are:
-
Boneyard Keeper – 30-point Command set
-
Raptor – light warjack
-
Malefactor – heavy warjack
-
Legions of the Dead – 50-point army box
-
Lord of Damnation – 50-point army box
-
Wraithbinder's Host – 50-point army box
These replace the current Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter, Battlegroup Box, Core Expansion and Auxiliary Expansion.
With the exception of the new Mechanithrall Swarm Warden found in Legions of the Dead & Lord of Damnation, and a variant sculpt unit of Mechanithralls found in Legions of the Dead, the new range contains the same existing miniatures, redistributed across the new product formats.
Your existing stock
The current Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter, Battlegroup Box, Core Expansion and Auxiliary Expansion will be officially discontinued when the new range releases on October 20.
Your existing stock remains fully playable and relevant. Existing Cryx Necrofectorium players may specifically want the current products, as they match the model distribution they have been using to build their armies.
The current range also remains a perfectly viable way for new players to build a Cryx Necrofactorium army, although we recommend the new format as the simplest way for new players to start and expand their collection.
In line with our discontinued product policy for Warstores (official Warmachine stockists), we'll provide Warstores credit for any unsold discontinued Cryx Necrofactorium stock six months following this notice.
