Delve deep into Warmachine lore with Humble Bundle
Before we dive into what’s new, let’s have a quick recap of the Big Stuff That’s Happened Recently:
Can I get a rewind?

Following the live reveal (which you can watch back here), Drago, the Beast Unchained is now available to pre-order!
Is there anyone who’s seen this beautifully horrific model who doesn’t either need a warbeast-warjack-ambomination of super heavy in their Old Umbrey army, or on their painting table?
Drago, the Beast Unchained releases September 1.

Meanwhile, eldritch schemes continue to unfold. (They really should consider giving origami a try.)
We’ve encountered the keen blade of the Executioner and whispering machinations of the Spymaster. Now, it’s time to make way for the overlord himself and his shadowy retinue.
Supreme authority, immense power, and a penchant for flaying enemies alive, Auricant Vorsalys isn’t someone you’d want over for dinner any time soon. Too bad he’s Hungry and not keen to take no for an answer.
Fane of Nyrro’s upcoming army box, Court of Shadows, is available to pre-order now, containing a complete eldritch army playable in Command and Skirmish-level Warmachine games.
Want a closer look at how Auricant Vorsalys commands the battlefield? Catch the live preview here:
The Dusk Fane of Nyrro: Court of Shadows Army Box releases September 1.

These eldritch really don’t sleep. Soaring on dark wings overhead, Nymara wants nothing more than to ride to war. While secrecy and shadows allowed the Fane of Nyrro to survive these long centuries, Nymara wasn’t made to hide. This warlock lives for conquest, and she’s available to pre-order now.
Nymara the Shadowblade, apotheosis warlock for Fane of Nyrro, releases September 15.
App update – Army shifts and name updates
Prime armies for Convergence of Cyriss, Crucible Guard, Grymkin, Infernals, Dark Operations, and Thornfall Alliance have now moved out of the Armies of Legend section and into the Prime section of the Warmachine app.
That's because, unlike the other Armies of Legend, these armies are once again available either as STLs through Warmachine 3D, or from our online store.
Moving them into the Prime section means you'll no longer see the "not in production" warning when viewing cards and building lists, which is less confusing for new players and makes it much clearer which armies are readily available.
Important bits:
-
Some army lists may be affected by this update and might need to be rebuilt (our apologies for the inconvenience)
-
Prime armies in the Armies of Legend section are still tournament legal
To further normalise things (boring word for a fun change), we’ve now bestowed names upon these newly-available armies!
For example, whereas before ‘Infernals’ was the name for both the faction and the Prime army (confusing), the Prime Infernals army is now called the Nonokrion Order.
In addition:
-
The Convergence of Cyriss faction’s Prime army is now Clockwork Legions, in an ode to a certain faction-defining warcaster’s old theme list
-
The Grymkin faction’s Prime army is Wicked Harvest
-
The Dark Operations and Thornfall Alliance armies both still sit under the Mercenaries faction, so no change there
-
It made sense to keep Crucible Guard as the name of the army, so the Prime Crucible Guard army now sits under the mysterious label of Three Crown Alliance… more on that in the new year
Live preview – Fane of Nyrro: The Gathering Darkness
The Fane aren’t willing to relinquish their hold on Immoren (or the Warmachine roadmap) just yet.
A fourth, promised leader lurks in the shadows along with his army, awaiting his moment. Which, as it turns out, will be tomorrow, August 20 at 4pm BST on the Warmachine YouTube.
Harasheth looms. Catch the live preview tomorrow (including all the rules!) ready for the pre-order launch next Tuesday, August 25.

For the non-Fane of Nyrro players, tomorrow’s special stream guest is none other than Captain Barl “Demolisher” Dunax, mercenary for Gravediggers, Winter Korps, Kithguard, and Rhul Guard.
If the eldritch can’t tempt you, perhaps the rules preview for this demolitions expert, trained by Durgen Madhammer himself, will tickle your fancy. Like The Gathering Darkness, Dunax will be available to pre-order from next Tuesday, August 25.
Live preview – September STL drop for the Warmachine Tribe
Tribe subscribers can also get an early look at what’s coming in September’s STL drop in our live monthly Warmachine 3D preview happening next Tuesday, also on the Warmachine YouTube.
There’s still time to subscribe for the August pack if you haven’t already (and get a stacked Welcome Pack and 50% off the 3D store while you’re at it).
Paingiver Tormentor Bellighul comes to MiniCrate

On the path to mastery, paingivers must learn not only skorne anatomy but also that of the warbeasts they use. Beast handlers are a specially trained class of paingiver able to evoke tremendous effort from the beasts under their charge and enrage them to rampage forward with impossible strength and speed.
They are also dangerous foes in their own right: their expert hands wield barbed whips able to strike key arteries or tendons in even the most heavily armored living foe.
Bellighul was one such paingiver in the Army of the Western Reaches, left behind in the rout across the Bloodstone Desert. Still following the code established by the first paingiver, Morkaash, he lends his experience and skills to those willing to pay for them. So far, only the Khymaera, renegades themselves, have had the stomach to do so.
Coming to MiniCrate from August 28, this limited edition Bellighul variant is fully playable as a direct swap for the standard Bellighul model.
Subscribe before August 27 to bag this month's limited edition variant, the Krielstone Boss, and lock in your subscription ready for the Paingiver Bellighul drop.
Iron Kingdoms lore galore with Humble Bundle

If you’re a loremachine fanatic dying to delve deep into the stories that drive Warmachine (and support the Child’s Play charity in the process), then you’re in luck:
We’ve teamed up with the fantastic folks at Humble Bundle to bring you not one, not two, not even three, but four massive bundles packed with Iron Kingdoms lore.
The first bundle includes the Warlock Sagas and the Warcaster Chronicles. This selection of novellas introduces key origins of army-defining characters, all of whom are still active in the current era of Warmachine.
The second bundle adds multiple standalone novels and short series to immerse you in the world of Immoren, including its people and culture.
The third bundle is the biggest new tier, including all content from tiers one and two plus several anthology series of short stories and novels covering all the main nations and various peoples who dwell in the wilds. Basically, it’s essential reading for anyone who really wants to dive into the Iron Kingdoms and understand its lore.
Finally, the fourth bundle is an absolute treasure trove, including a wealth of content that’s making a comeback from our previous Humble Bundle collaboration. This all-inclusive Iron Kingdoms Roleplaying Game tier includes a wealth of content for both the 5e and Full Metal Fantasy editions of the RPG. Even non-RPG players will find plenty of essential reading here, especially in Kings, Nations, and Gods.
You’ll find all the above plus more info over on Humble Bundle. Humble Bundles are time limited, so you’ve got until 11am PST on September 8 to bag them.

Love lore? Make sure you join the dedicated loremachine and Iron Kingdoms RPG channels over in the Warmachine Discord.
