Warmachine's mid-year update

Warmachine gets a big annual balance update every January. This year's January update was ambitious (to say the least!) and much needed, and the community response has been genuinely positive around enhanced gameplay, reduced lethality, and increased back-and-forth play.

Even with the copious testing we did before release (with the help of our wonderful playtesters), when introducing a change this big it's no surprise some models need a little tweaking that can't wait until next January.

So, this year, we're deploying a mid-year update with some targeted fixes to further fine-tune the balance and keep Warmachine in a fantastic place.

First announced in our Preview stream at Lock & Load, this is a small, focused pass, not a game-wide overhaul ("a little tickle", as Warmachine's Creative Director, Mat, put it in the Preview). We've spent a lot of time talking with playtesters, creators, and community members to make sure we're tweaking the right things, and we're confident these adjustments will redress the balance without disrupting everything that's working well.

Get your refresh fingers ready, because we can today confirm the mid-year update will release on June 4 in the free Warmachine app.

Rocket fire & ruin — Warmachine's next STL release

June’s Warmachine 3D subscription release will deliver cursed fellblades, unstable rocket crews, wandering wasteland killers, eldritch horrors, and shattered ruins directly to your printers.

Maximus leads the carnage for the Thornfall Alliance alongside the explosive Razorback Crew and the deadly Wastelander, while Fane of Nyrro comes in clutch with an all-new Extreme Hysene variant and thematic base toppers.

(Find Hysene, the Executioner's usual variant in Executioner's Toll, releasing June 23 for Warmachine's newest army, Dusk Fane of Nyrro.)

Throw in narrative terrain, fresh loyalty rewards, and a brand-new Extreme Apollo sculpt for long-time subscribers, and June is shaping up to be a brutal month for Warmachine 3D.

Last chance for Gravedigger Caine

MiniCrate is changing over, which means time is running out to secure Gravedigger Caine before he vanishes back into the trenches of the Iron Kingdoms.

Replacing him is the Ghost Shaper, a haunting alternative sculpt for the Void Shaper of Dusk House Kallyss. Neither entirely engineer nor entirely sorcerer, the Ghost Shaper twists void energy and impossible geometry into deadly arcane war machines worthy of the eldritch. Secure yours from May 28.
