Here’s how you can get three full Warmachine armies to print at home - Steamforged Games
Published on  February 26, 2026Updated on  August 5, 2026

Get ready, because on March 17, the first ever Warmachine 3D FronTier is launching on MyMiniFactory!

Separate to the monthly Warmachine Tribe subscription that’s also on MyMiniFactory, the FronTier is a 14-day campaign where you’ll have the opportunity to get STLs for three full armies (at a substantial bundle discount) to print, paint, and play using the free rules from the Warmachine app: Infernals, Grymkin, and Convergence of Cyriss.

If you used to play Warmachine and you’re looking for a reason to get back in, recently joined the game (welcome!), or simply missed out on these out-of-print armies the first time around, this FronTier is for you.

(For those looking to fill gaps in their Infernals, Grymkin, or Convergence collections, individual sets will be added to the Warmachine 3D store after the FronTier ends.)

Over the next few weeks, we’ll delve into models, lore, and gameplay for all three armies, so you know what to expect come March 17. As for today, let’s start with introductions (or recaps, for the returning players out there) to who these factions are, where they come from, and what manner of war they’re looking to wage on Immoren…

Infernals

Invaders from beyond the worlds of both the living and dead, the Infernals are the most significant threat ever faced by the people of Western Immoren. They step onto Caen through portals of smoke and darkness, and wherever they stride, reality warps and tears. Even amongst the cultists that slavishly obey their every word, those who behold the Infernals risk madness.

Each is an incomprehensible alien being of tremendous power, patience, and ruthlessness. Their careful plans span centuries, with the roots of their invasion reaching back more than thirty human generations to the striking of an unholy bargain with the dark goddess, Thamar. The Infernals see no value in life. They have long lurked in the Outer Abyss, coveting the souls of Caen’s inhabitants.

Dense with spiritual energy, souls are vital in summoning the horrors Infernals use to fight their wars. Infernals view corporeal bodies as inferior and unimportant side effects of life — mere anchors that keep souls rooted in the material world, for a time. In death, the soul is liberated from the flesh, which is cast aside to rot.

Bad news if you’ve got a body.

While other factions scrape and claw for every advantage, the Infernal Masters play a longer, more sinister game. Every model that dies on the battlefield, friend or foe, only makes you stronger. Commanding the Infernals means feeding on the carnage of war, harvesting souls to tear open the veil and summon devastating Horrors. Your army doesn’t weaken as the battle rages on; it grows.

Infernals reward smart, patient players who love to outthink their opponents and pull off dramatic, cinematic plays. These are ancient, unknowable entities from beyond the mortal world, commanding eldritch monstrosities of immense power — and they look it. If you want to become the dark fantasy villain nightmares are made of, while commanding one of the most unique armies in Warmachine, the Infernals are calling your name. All you have to do is answer.

Convergence of Cyriss

The faithful of the goddess Cyriss have lived among the people of western Immoren for centuries, quietly working to uncover the laws of the universe. They have long been tolerated as an enigmatic cult of mathematicians, engineers, and stargazers — but in remote temples, the inner circle have busied themselves advancing the Great Work.
Their true agenda is to transform the very face of Caen, and bring about the manifestation of their goddess.

Convergence’s greatest advantage is their remarkable technology. Upon death, the soul of an awakened member is transferred to an essence chamber, which is then installed in a clockwork vessel. Thus begins the afterlife revealed to the faithful by the Maiden of Gears. This machine rebirth allows the faithful to continue on the path toward perfection as Convergence soldiers.

The Eighth Harmonic makes clear Cyriss’ disdain toward attempts to create false sentience, thus eschewing traditional warjacks. Instead, Convergence warjacks are known as vectors, and utilise an interface node in the place of a traditional cortex. Refined over countless iterations and centuries of labor, these nodes reject the conceit that warjacks should have autonomous minds. Instead they allow vectors to serve as extensions of a Convergence warcaster’s will, for clockwork coordination.

While other factions rely on fallible flesh, Convergence has transcended such weakness. Their warriors are intricate automata — vectors, obstructors, and clockwork angels — engineered to absolute perfection in service of their goddess. This army doesn’t simply fight; it calculates to inevitable victory.

What makes Convergence truly special is their Induction system: a breathtaking cascade of focus that flows between their warjacks, letting them accomplish feats of efficiency other factions can only dream of. A well-piloted Convergence army can surge across the battlefield, hitting multiple targets with terrifying efficiency before the opponent can react.

If you want to play an army that rewards focus mastery, exploits mistakes with mechanical ruthlessness, and pulls off calculated plays like clockwork, this is the faction for you. Convergence of Cyriss isn’t an army; it’s a philosophy.

Grymkin

The mysterious grymkin lurk on civilisation's outskirts, their gruesome deeds passed down as warnings against sin. Though dismissed by scholars as rural tales, the threat of grymkin remains real, especially beyond city walls. Led by the mighty Defiers — once mortals who rebelled against Menoth and were banished — these supernatural entities are capable of great power, with hunting habits as unique as their myriad forms.

The Old Witch of Khador foresaw the darkness of the Infernals. The armies of humankind had grown vast, commanding weapons of technology and magic entwined, but even the greatest mechanika and mightiest champions would not be enough to stand against horrors shaped by the outer darkness. And so, the Old Witch turned to the Defiers.

Once, grymkin posed a danger only to those who crossed their path, but alongside nightmarish allies born from the Defiers' tormented minds, they could threaten a Wicked Harvest upon humanity. If the Old Witch threw open the doors of the Defiers’ eternal cage, whatever emerged would tear at the roots of the Iron Kingdoms to find the corruption within — a force bent on punishing the wicked and corrupted.

Should this Wicked Harvest come to pass, the grymkin would certainly claim the malfeasants who stood to become the Infernals’ greatest allies on Caen. And as the grymkin took their toll on Caen, they would serve as a warning to others who might fall prey to corruption…

Grymkin are unlike anything else in Warmachine. Born from the nightmares and sins of humanity, these creatures — shambling scarecrows, cackling witches, monstrous pigs, and other beings that defy easy description — descend on their enemies like a living storybook gone terribly, wonderfully wrong. Facing them is deeply unsettling, because Grymkin don’t play by the rules.

At the heart of the army are the Defiers: ancient, powerful beings who escaped the Void and now wage their own mischievous, vengeful war on the world. Each Defier warlock brings a different flavour of chaos to the table, as well as unique Arcana abilities. Grymkin has an answer for everything, and delivering those answers tastes absolutely delicious.

This is an army for players who love to keep their opponents guessing, revel in the unexpected, and want their battles to feel like a change of pace from Warmachine’s usual clashes of steel and steam. There’s a wicked sense of humour baked into everything the Grymkin do, and when your plan comes together and the fairytale turns dark on your opponent’s side of the table, it’ll be a story worth telling.

Coming soon!

To pick up the horrifying Infernals, ruthless Convergence, or twisted Grymkin, all you need to do is follow Warmachine 3D: Lost, Damned, & Salvation over on MyMiniFactory so you can support the FronTier when it launches.

You’ll get a limited edition variant STL of Eilish Garrity, the Occultist, playable with the Infernals army, just for following.

Once you've printed Eilish Garrity, make sure you join us tonight for a live paint-along over on the Warmachine YouTube channel!

Keep your eyes peeled for the next FronTier update, where we’ll be taking an even closer look at the Infernals. Do try not to slip into madness when we do…
